Heartfelt thanks to www.arts.on.ca , its hardworking staff, the jury members and readers at independent Ontario based publishers. I’m pleased and humbled to acknowledge OAC funding from the Recommender Grants for Writers Project as well as the Literary Creation Projects. This encouragement will help me take a little time away from frontline work in the community mental health field in order to focus on new writing: I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity. A lot of behind-the-scenes work goes into each grant application call – and every applicant, whether awarded or not, invests a great deal of time and energy working to bring their creative dreams to life.
