Dear Writers of science fiction and fantasy,
This spring I shall be teaching The Great Escape, a workshop-style creative writing course brought to you by The University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies. I shall be your fearless instructor, facilitating a synchronous online 8-week webinar, Tuesday evenings 7:00 – 8:30 PM EST, from May 6, 2025 to June 24, 2025. You can join live from anywhere in the world – think about it!
In this course, you will generate material for a new draft story, give & receive constructive feedback within a supportive peer group, refresh your understanding of the elements of such fiction, including world-building, scene-setting, characterization and dialogue. You will also receive a careful, compassionate and professional critique of your manuscript by MOI, a published author with more than 20 years of industry experience.
